Hi, my name is Benjamin Payne

I'm a soon-to-be intern at WBEZ, and a journalism graduate of Augustana College

Here's my story...

When I first went to college, I planned to study architecture. But then I joined the student-run newspaper. It was too fulfilling not to change majors. So I did. Along the way, I caught the radio bug, volunteering for my local NPR member station and working with the NPR Next Generation Radio project. TL;DR: I went into college to build buildings. On my way out, I'm hoping to build bridges. (Tap the icons below to read more about each project/experience of mine.)
